The Role

To identify and significantly grow sales on Pork and Seafood to agreed volume targets across a portfolio of existing and new Foodservice National Account customers including Direct Chain End Users and Business to Business accounts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and win major volume new business opportunities across Pork and Seafood with Major Foodservice Chain accounts in QSR/Full Service Restaurant sectors, Sandwich Chains and Sandwich Manufacturing, Pub Groups, Coffee shop chains
  • Deliver your Budgeted volume Sales targets for the fiscal year
  • Retain and negotiate major business contracts, annual trading terms
  • Contribute as a leading member of the Foodservice Commercial team in driving the Foodservice business towards rapid volume and profitable growth.
  • Assume direct responsibility for all allocated Accounts.
  • Ensure that all strategies and tactics agreed within the Foodservice team are implemented.
  • Ensure the achievement of set targets and objectives, as agreed, as part of the Management Performance Review process.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies for customers in support of the agreed sales targets.
  • Assume ownership of the budget and forecast process for your portfolio, and contribute essential customer insight to ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Ensure regular and appropriate reporting and communication procedures are followed for all areas of responsibility in a timely manner.
  • Attend regular Foodservice team meetings and provide regular business updates.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships in your accounts and market sectors and maintain a good understanding and knowledge of the UK foodservice market and relevant trends.
  • Participate fully in all authorised exhibitions and presentations

Skills and Experience Required

  • 5 years’+ experience of driving outstanding sales results within the Major Direct End User Foodservice sector.
  • Experience of winning and building significant business growth in major Foodservice National Chain accounts in QSR/Full Service Restaurant sectors, Sandwich Chains and Sandwich Manufacturing, Pub Groups, Coffee shop chains
