Business Development Manager - Renewable Energy Solutions 

£35-40K Basic + Package negotiable based on ROI.

We are a successful Green Energy solutions consultancy, working with clients in the commercial, public and domestic market place. Since opening our doors we have benefitted from 150% growth year on year. We have built an enviable reputation for quality installations and advice. Setting ourselves apart from many in the sector.

Our leadership team is experienced, yet from the outset we were set on building a company that places the trade professionals team at the forefront of our work. We have a number of case studies that showcase our skills. None of them would be possible without the pride and expertise they deliver everyday.

This is the next phase of our growth. The first boots on the ground to formalise our sales funnel, which up until now has been driven by one of the directors.  The successful individual will be given an opportunity to build on our excellent reputation, follow up on our existing client base while also reaching out to new opportunities in the business and private setting.

As a seasoned Sales professional, you will be a self starter, able to not only generate leads and close sales but also implement a scalable and repeatable approach to your working week. Implementing technologies - CRM, Automated outreach etc. while co-ordinating with our marketing manager to help created targeted marketing campaigns for you to convert in to signed contracts.

The role isn’t without challenges. Competition in the market is fierce and we are asking you to take our rudimentary data and systems and elevate them in to a repeatable sales function. However, as the first dedicated sales professional in the organisation, you will have a voice at the table, helping to identify opportunities, working where necessary with leadership while still ‘owning’ the sales function.

As revenue growth and your own abilities allow, the career path for this role is intended to see you heading up a team of Sales executives and Sales administration in the coming years.

Shortlisted applicants will be seasoned sales professionals able to articulate a career within a green solutions or potentially technical / facilities management or similar market place. Any individuals who have built similar sales functions are of particular interest. In addition to being an excellent BDM able to communicate effectively and network our services, you will also be technically astute and well versed in CRM, Social Media, analytics reporting, etc.

Salary and package are open to discussion, with a focus on ROI.  

The company’s head office is in Suffolk, it is expected in the early months as you build rapport and strategise with the directors you will be in the office on a hybrid basis each week. As your working week dictates, the role is likely to become more field based, making a driving license a requirement for this role.
