My client are an award winning Food brand, established a decade ago, and currently available in major retail giants such as Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Ocado, and COOP. Their reach extends to over 18 countries, including partnerships with airlines. They are currently looking for a talented business development manager, this role will be office based in West Molesey, this role is office based, with a minimum expectation of 4 days per week in the office.

The Role

This role will be focused on account management to maximize existing relationships, whilst also putting significant focus on winning and developing new accounts.

  • Building and Developing relationships with key customers e.g Asda, Tesco, Ocado, through brand sell-In of new products
  • Delivery of brilliant category driving JBPs and trade plans.
  • Take accountability of your sales leads and Full P&L management across accounts
  • Create EDI & New Line Forms
  • Negotiate pricing & listing
  • Attending trade/ consumer shows
  • Organisation point of sale material and merchandising activity
  • Keep up to date with buyers and points of contact

The Candidate

  • You have a passion for foodie brands and making products accessible.
  • 1-2 years within an FMCG/ Hospitality/ B2B sales role is preferable.
  • You are an enthusiastic go-getter looking to build a career within a growing business.
  • You have brilliant interpersonal and influencing skills and understand the reason why networking with both junior and senior level contacts is so critical.
  • You are super organised, you’ll be establishing and managing a large number of Key Accounts across retail/ export & Travel, so you’ll have to be able to multitask.
  • You can think outside of the box, ask a lot of questions, and have a natural sense of curiosity as you will need to be creative when problem solving.
  • You are resilient and enjoy being challenged. We are not a large corporation and have a real challenger brand culture, you will need willingness to roll your sleeves up in an entrepreneurial environment and get stuck to get things done.
  • Track record of profitable sales growth. A driven individual who is keen to succeed.
  • Commercially capable with the ability to calculate margins/ P&L/ Pricing.
  • Good Literacy the ability to compose clear and concise emails while being able to communicate the company’s vision and solution to customers with ease. Clear and concise communicator across a number of platforms.
