BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE - OFFICE BASED - AYLESBURY - £40,000 to £45,000 pa

This is an outstanding opening for a suitably proactive and ambitious individual to join a market leader and provides an opportunity to learn and develop within the organisation in order to gain the knowledge and experience required to, in time, become an effective and successful international sales executive in a role that will entail overseas travel.

The Role

Starting initially as an Internal Business Development Executive, the role will be office based in order to enable the appointee to focus on familiarisation and maintenance of the customer database and ensuring key contacts are up to date so that an effective pipeline of potential business is available. With an element of project management, this proactive role will provide a thorough insight into the business as it will involve constant interface with overseas customers via telephone and email. Therefore, as well as having a genuine interest in learning and developing, candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication capabilities as well as being resilient and persistent with a passion for selling in order to ensure that the quotation to order conversion is optimised.

It is envisaged that, in time and following a significant learning curve when a thorough understanding of the company’s equipment and its applications is gained, the role will develop into an International Sales Position involving overseas travel.


The Candidate

This opportunity will only suit individuals with a genuine desire and willingness to progress effectively over a significant period of time which will be spent learning about the company, its products and customer requirements.

Extensive product training will be provided but candidates, whomust live within commuting distance of Aylesbury, should have proven commercial experience together with business / academic qualifications and the capacity, through the training provided, to understand customers’ technical requirements. Proficient organisational and communication capabilities are also sought along with business acumen, commercial aptitude and a strong desire to succeed.
