Nigel Wright is delighted to be supporting a leading manufacturing business in the recruitment of a business development executive, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, recognised and trusted brand with ambitious growth plans.  Hybrid working available minimum 3 days per week office based from site in Northumberland.

Role
Reporting into the commercial manager the Business Development Executive will be tasked with growing sales of specialist products within the allocated territory, you will:
  • Build long term relationships with existing distributors through effective key account management.  
  • Find new end users, projects and sales opportunities within the territory
  • Hold regular KAM review meetings with key customers 
  • Tailor messages, training and strategies to help each customer / distributor grow product sales
  • Follow up qualified leads and convert them into orders
  • Train customers on products and applications
  • Deliver compelling pitches and presentations to customers including distributors and end-users
  • Research, identify and win new business opportunities in the territory including target customers, contacts and organisations
  • Build the value and the quality of the sales pipeline within the territory
  • Work with marketing to deliver regular content to customers that is applicable to your territory (sales-led marketing campaigns)

Experience
  • Experience of working in business-to-business sales 
  • A proven track record of business development and sales success
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiator (win:win approach)
  • Ability to acquire thorough knowledge of the core technology concepts 
  • Ability to build networks with new customers and in new markets.
  • Tenacious with the drive to hit targets and overcome objections
  • The ability to negotiate with staff at all levels of an organisation
  • The ability to listen, identify a customers needs, and tailor your proposal accordingly
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Full driving licence
  • French or German language skills would be highly desirable but not essential
