About the role

We're on the lookout for highly driven and motivated individuals to join Moorepay as Business Development Executives! This is a great opportunity for you to join a supportive, exciting and growing business. As a Business Development Executive you'll be focused on promoting the Moorepay portfolio of Payroll & HR products and services to prospective clients. Whilst you'll sell the complete portfolio of products and services, you'll lead with the sale of our flagship HCM software solutions.

You'll work alongside your team from our Swinton (Manchester) offices Monday-Wednesday, with Thursday & Fridays working remotely.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Generating ARR and One-Time revenue through the sale of the HCM products in line with business objectives and the quarterly quota issued.
  • Self-generating your own appointments - Leading with our HCM software solution, you'll contact a minimum of 50 new business prospects each day with a view to arranging discovery calls and product demonstrations.
  • Developing an extensive understanding of the complete product range and being fully conversant in demonstrating and promoting these across the business. You'll develop an in-depth understanding of our HCM solutions, specifically for the SMB market.
  • Acting as a true ambassador of the business internally and externally and leading the way in adopting the sales methodology.
  • Working very closely with all sales colleagues in a collaborative way to ensure a complete understanding of the client requirements.
  • Maximising the conversion of revenue to sales in line with our business objectives, through ensuring detailed handovers and managing client expectations effectively through to the implementation team.
  • Effectively communicating with the wider sales management team to provide accurate revenue forecasts and market intelligence, preparing monthly sales activities that will positively impact the revenue.
  • Working with senior leaders and supporting the sales governance processes in place.
  • Providing timely and accurate business reporting including metrics, scorecard and risk analysis.
  • Building positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders efficiently to ensure the successful execution of projects at every step.

Skills & experience

  • A good understanding of the full sales cycle and knowledge of sales methodologies and factfinding techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of the Payroll & HR sector, and the competitors in the SMB space.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and how to effectively use these to optimise individual performance.
  • Performance and accountability - results driven to achieve targets, paying attention to detail, taking responsibility, demonstrating drive, commitment and focus to producing work to the highest standard.
  • High levels of integrity, showing honesty and doing the right thing
  • Tenacious in your pursuit of new clients, with a demonstrable track record in cold calling and following the end-to-end sales process in selling software solutions.
  • Proven sales professional experience.
  • A good understanding of procurement processes and RFI requests.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
