School Bus Driver

  • Location: Luton
  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Hours: 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday
  • Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated School Bus Driver to join an educational setting in the Luton area. This role is ideal for candidates who are available to work split shifts, 4 hours per day, from Monday to Friday. The position requires a responsible individual who can ensure the safe transportation of students to and from school.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Safely operate a school bus on a daily split shift schedule, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is clean and in good operating condition.
  • Supervise the boarding and disembarking of students, maintaining a schedule and route adherence.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school officials.
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor, managing student behaviour when necessary.
  • Complete reports and logs as required, including any incidents or maintenance needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A valid driving license that covers operating a mini bus.
  • Previous experience in a driving role is preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Punctual, reliable, and committed to student safety.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is advantageous, but not essential as we can assist with the process if you do not have one.
