Building Surveyor

Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Building Surveyor to work with one of our Diocese clients in the East Midlands.

What the job will be doing

• Proving Professional Building Surveying service to the parishes and Diocese in the following areas.
• Building professional internal relationships with senior managers, clergy and colleagues in the Diocese as well as with external solicitors, property professionals and third parties to deliver the best service for the Diocese.
• Utilise specialist expertise and resources to contribute to the development of polices, standards and processes to ensure optimum performance of the Diocese estate and to ensure that the estate meets the Diocese operational requirements, is cost effective and the provision of buildings are fit for purpose.
• To be fully aware of and up to date with Health & Safety legislation and regulations in connection with all Diocese premises and in relation to estate management.
• Working with the third party Health & Safety service to ensure grounds and buildings meet Health & Safety requirements and any projects are adhering to the Health & Safety requirements and principles.

What you will need

• Qualified RICS - Chartered Building Surveyor, minimum 5 years PQE
• Experience in dealing with a mixed portfolio estate management role.
• Experience operating at a senior level.
• Proven organisational skills, including budget and project management.
