LOCATION: Hybrid working both from the Office in Evesham, Worcestershire, West Midlands, and from home - with some travel to other sites when required

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Building Maintenance and Repair Inspector who has technical expertise in building maintenance, strong customer service skills and good knowledge of health and safety legislation.

Working as the Building Maintenance and Repair Inspector you will be proactive and detail-orientated in order to become a vital part of the organisation’s responsive repairs team.

As the Building Maintenance and Repair Inspector you will be responsible for delivering customer-focused services and solving complex maintenance issues, such as damp and mould. You will work closely with the Repairs Manager to maintain and improve the quality of housing stock.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Building Maintenance and Repair Inspector will include:

  • Conduct maintenance inspections, prepare defect sheets and manage post-inspections to ensure quality and compliance
  • Evaluate and inspect housing stock, including leasehold flats, and conducting surveys and risk assessments
  • Oversee aids and adaptions for customers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness and compliance
  • Uphold and implement health and safety standards, ensuring safe practices in all maintenance activities

  • Strong technical expertise in building maintenance
  • Able to navigate complex maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Excellent commitment to customer service
  • Good knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously is crucial
  • Natural problem solver
