Job Location: Kegworth (Hybrid) 2 days in the office / 3 days remote

Salary: £24,000- £35,000

Days / Hours: Monday- Friday / 8:30- 17:30

Our client is a bridging loan company specialising in providing short-term finance solutions to individuals and businesses. Position Overview:

  • To assess & underwrite potential loans for the business and progress to completion in accordance with the Company’s underwriting criteria.
  • Conduct all due diligence and underwriting, assessing all risks to ensure the business is comfortable lending on the security.
  • Responsible for preparing detailed credit proposals for submission to the investment committee.
  • To be the point of contact for all parties during the progress to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out initial underwriting to obtain understanding of the case and respond to the initial enquiry within four hours.
  • Accurately assess the risk attributed to all applications ensuring the loan is suitable and fit for purpose.
  • Build and maintain proactive relationships with stakeholders, including brokers, solicitors and surveyors.
  • Issuing AIP terms to borrowers and brokers in line with company Criteria
  • Keeping all systems up to date, spreadsheets, whiteboards using Brightoffice.
  • Ensuring enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Keeping brokers and borrowers updated throughout the process until completion within the company policy of Collaboration Communication and Education.
  • Trouble shooting issues quickly and efficiently with a resolution understood by all parties.
  • Liaising with the rest of the team, discussing criteria and asking for a second opinion
  • Arranging ID appointments for borrowers and vendors to ensure requirements are satisfied to meet company Criteria
  • Carrying out all checklists including full application, survey, ID and case sign off using the Brightoffice system.
  • Completing and sending out team referral for director’s approval.
  • Manage a pipeline of cases in a fast-moving environment
  • To adhere to the compny’s Culture Statement.
  • Keep up with Industry news and track any allocated competitor lenders.

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in the specialist lending sector for minimum two years.
  • Communicating via different portals
  • Flexible within a team culture.
  • Well organised and capable of prioritising.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • To be familiar with KYC/AML financial crime regulation
  • Knowledge of the conveyancing and valuation processes.
  • Proficient use of Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Office and the in -house Brightoffice system.
  • Ability to manage own workload embracing the need to adopt flexible working hours when necessary.
