Chichester College has an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Brickwork Lecturer at our Broadwater, Worthing campus. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basisand, in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £23,264 - £40,839 per annum.

The Brickwork Lecturer role:

Would you like to use your skills in a different way and further develop your own personal skill set?  If this is you, we have a rewarding opportunity for you to support and develop the next generation of Bricklayers. 

The highly successful, vibrant and ‘buzzing’ Construction department is looking to recruit a Bricklaying Lecturer.  There will be the opportunity to gain further qualifications if you do not currently hold them for assessing and/or teaching.

Key Responsibilities of ourBrickwork Lecturer:

  • Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
  • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking administration and providing reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
  • Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each.
  • Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
  • Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
  • Participating in marketing activities and promoting the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.
  • Undertaking the delivery of literacy and numeracy.

Our ideal Brickwork Lecturer should have the below skills and experience:

  • Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject
  • An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
  • Time-management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines
