Hays is working with a specialist bricklaying contractor who require a Supervisor on a commercial project.


Your new role
You will oversee and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in laying brick, tile, cinderblock, and other materials to construct structures, such as walls, arches, sewers, and partitions.

Key responsibilities include

  • Assigning Duties: Assigns specific duties to workers based on the project requirements.
  • Inspecting Work in Progress: Inspect work in progress to ensure it conforms to specifications.
  • Coordinating Activities: Coordinate tasks amongst the team members to maintain efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the bricklaying work meets quality standards.
  • Safety Compliance: enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction.
  • Communication: Effective communication with team members and other key stakeholders involved in the project.


What you'll need to succeed

  • SSSTS / SMSTS & First Aid as a minimum.
  • C&G / NVQ (or equivalent) in bricklaying, or relevant experience.
  • Experience working on brickwork packages on commercial projects.
  • Happy to 'get your hands dirty' when required.



What you'll get in return

  • Up to £230 per day (PAYE rates slightly lower).
  • Full-time, 5 days a week.
