Futures is delighted to be working with a fast-growing top quality Craft Beer Manufacturer business in the South-East area.
Due to various expansions and growth, the site is currently looking for a Brewery Manager to look after the day-to-day running of the brewery team and taproom site.
Reporting into the MD and Head Brewer, the Brewery Manager will be responsible for working alongside other senior managers to oversee all operations. You will be responsible for overseeing production, purchasing, stock management, warehousing, and distribution operations. The main objective is to ensure the efficient and timely production and distribution of products while maintaining a clean and safe working environment through upkeep and maintenance.
Responsibilities of a Brewery Manager:
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upkeep of the brewery site.
- Ensuring compliance with Food Safety Regulations and maintaining necessary standards.
- Collaborating with the Head Brewer and Managing Director to plan and schedule production activities.
- Managing stock levels efficiently using brewery management software, from raw material acquisition to product delivery.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the brewery site and holding teams accountable for their workspaces.
- Taking charge of reviewing, maintaining, and improving production and site-related quality control measures.
- Assuming overall responsibility for Health and Safety procedures, including keeping risk assessments up to date.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for staff, contractors, and visitors, offering support, training, and addressing ad hoc queries.
- Participating in weekly production, sales, and operations meetings as necessary.
Successful Brewery Manager will have:
- Proven experience working within Brewing/Brewer
- Strong attention to detail and leadership skills
- Experience in manufacturing industry at an operational level
- Experience in the craft beer sector desirable but not essential
- Forklift driver preferred
