Brake Press Setter Operative

OA are currently looking to recruit an experienced Brake Press Setter Operator for a manufacturing client based in Letchworth.

• Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16:30pm and Friday 08.00am to 16.00pm
• Weekly Pay - £15.000 per an hour
• Immediate start, Temporary to Permanent opportunity
• 21 Days holiday + bank holiday (once permanent)
• Free on-site parking

Brake Press Setter Operative - Key Responsibilities:

• To have experience in programming, setting and operating brake press machines
• To have a good understanding of sheet metal work processes and fabrication techniques
• To have a full understanding of reading technical engineering drawings
• To have hands on abilities in machine running
• To liaise with Managers and Directors
• To supervise a team of Brake Press operators and distribute work
• To set up and operate the brake press machines to achieve maximum output and quality.
• To assist the Metalwork Supervisor to set up the machines and monitor accuracy.
• To check quality and dimensions, stack/label and count parts against the labour paperwork before releasing to other departments
• To deliver finished parts to the next user
• To work under the Health and Safety guidelines

Brake Press Operative- Skills and Experience:

• Experience of sheet metalwork/fabrication and brake press operation
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Ability to sort and prioritise workload
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of materials
• Capable of working under pressure to a deadline.
