REED are currently exclusively recruiting for a Bookkeeping and Payroll Clerk for a Business Consultancy Firm based near Dorchester. This is an exciting time to join the company with an increase in business and the opportunity to work towards growing the Bookkeeping team.

At the moment the role with focus on the Bookkeeping role, with the eventual aim to manage and mentor a bookkeeping and payroll team and ensuring compliance requirements are met:

Bookkeeping and Payroll Clerk

Based in Poundbury - Near Dorchester

£24,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Mon - Friday: 8.30am - 5pm / 9am - 5.30pm - Flexibility around core hours 11am - 2pm

HYBRID Working - Ability to work from home 2 - 3 days a week

Free and on site Parking

The successful applicant will:

- have a minimum of three years’ experience in bookkeeping and payroll.

- be able to demonstrate high abilities in Maths and English.

- have experience in using Xero, ClearBooks, Quickbooks, Sage, VT Transaction+ and BrightPay as well as hold an excellent knowledge of Excel.

- be a highly motivated, proactive person with good organisation, communication and leadership skills as well as the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.

- be dynamic with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and able to apply a hands-on approach to their work.

Although a relevant qualification is preferred it is not essential.
