Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper looking for a settled role?

Reed Accountancy in Oxford are pleased to be exclusively partnering with a prestigious private estate in North West Oxfordshire, who are looking for a Bookkeeper to join their small, settled and close knit team. The role offers a salary of up to £35,000 per annum (based on experience), salary reviews, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), 5% contribution pension, health insurance (after a year), progression within the role and free parking. You will be joining a relaxed but well presented environment, and would suit someone who is comfortable in a close knit environment and who is happy in a role where no two days are the same.

This is a full time, office based role, but after some time hybrid working will become available.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily posting of suppliers’ invoices to the relevant ledgers.
  • Cross charging expenses to relevant entities.
  • Electronically filing the relevant invoices
  • Preparing invoices for payment by Finance Manager.
  • Ensuring creditors are reconciled to statements and queries resolved.
  • Sales Ledger function, including raising monthly invoices from the property system, and emailing tenants the invoice, through to chasing any outstanding debtors.
  • Electricity recharges to tenants on the Business Park, monthly or quarterly as required.
  • Other tenant recharges as and when required.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations 
  • Reconciling monthly credit cards to supporting documentation.
  • Analysing credit card accounts and posting to ledger
  • Cross charging any expenses to relevant entities.
  • Analysing petty cash expenditure monthly.

The right candidate will have strong accounting experience up to trial balance, proficient on Purchase & Sales ledger. You will be looking to join a settled environment, and be flexible in your working attitude, happy to help out a small close knit office environment. You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and have strong organisational skills. Finally, you will be able to adapt to a busy role, which can grow into something further.
