Bookkeeper

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Bookkeeper at a very well-established business based close to Ashford. This position will report directly to the Managing Director and is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a similar position looking for the next step in their career.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Coding and processing purchase invoices against purchase orders
• Paying invoices and tracking bank account balances
• Reconciling bank statements
• VAT and CIS Returns
• Processing payroll and ensuring employee records are kept accurate
• Profit and Loss statements, balance sheets and project costing
• Preparing company accounts
• Ad-Hoc duties and responsibilities associated with the position

The ideal candidate will:

• Possess an AAT Qualification (Desirable)
• Have proven experience in a similar position
• Have an excellent knowledge of SAGE
• Have meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Have a proactive can-do attitude and not be afraid to get stuck in and take on any task
