ProTalent has an exciting new role for a skilled Virtual Finance Bookkeeper to join our leading accountancy practice client based in Cambridge. As a Virtual Finance Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in managing the financial records and transactions of their valued clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, including data entry, reconciling accounts, and processing financial transactions.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

- Process invoices, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.

- Reconcile bank and credit card statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

- Collaborate with clients and other team members to resolve any accounting-related issues and answer queries.

- Utilise accounting software and other relevant tools to streamline bookkeeping tasks and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in an accountancy firm.

- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to spot errors and resolve discrepancies.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members.

- Ability to work independently in a virtual environment, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.

- A professional and ethical approach to handling sensitive financial information.

- A relevant qualification in accounting or bookkeeping is desirable, such as AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) or equivalent.
