Bookkeeper - Part Time half a day a week
Are you a highly experienced and skilled bookkeeper with an excellent eye for detail who is well organised with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both in a team but also autonomously? Do you have experience working with smaller company and charity accounts?
Do you have experience working with the accounting software Xero in particular, with strong computer literacy skills, including the MS suite as well as being a confident communicator both in person, online and over the telephone.
This is a unique opportunity for 4.5 hours a week in the first instance (with the potential for more hours later down the line)
The role will include (but is not exclusive to):
- All transactional bookkeeping for a small hospitality outlet
- Entering monthly receipts and payments into online accounting system and preparing bank and other reconciliations
- Preparing end of year accounting returns and tax claims
- Carrying out and documenting internal audit work following written work programme, and producing formal written reports to account for the viability of the enterprise.
Essential skills required are:
- AAT qualification (full or part-qualified) (similar qualification will be considered), and/or sufficient relevant bookkeeping experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to act as a key representative of the team who would be the conduit for key information and requirements to all team members and associated parties
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with charitable/hospitality financial processes
- Experience reporting on profit and loss/feasibility
