Our client is an established accountancy practice who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their close-knit team based in Lewes, East Sussex

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for our clients using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address any bookkeeping-related queries or issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, preferably within an accountancy practice.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
