Your new role
This is a new and exciting Accountant / Bookkeeper role working on a stand-alone basis, supporting at director level. Duties include but not limited to.

  • Employee expense form submissions
  • Dealing with all bank transactions (UK and overseas) and reconciliations.
  • Invoicing, credit control and management of processes.
  • Managing project costings (linking all supplier costs to projects).
  • Submission of monthly payroll to external accountants and managing monthly pension contributions.
  • Completing and submitting VAT submissions every quarter
  • Assisting accountants with year-end processes and submissions.
  • Supporting with general administration tasks including HR admin, fleet management, travel arrangements and facilities (electricity contracts, insurance tec)

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will need to be an experienced and adaptable Bookkeeper/Accountant who is available to start in early-mid April.

Experience of working in a small to medium size business in a stand-alone capacity would be highly beneficial. Experience of working on Sage (50) Cloud accounting software combined with a confident approach to learning new systems and processes will be essential. You will also need experience of all aspects of accounting up to trial balance and payroll knowledge would be beneficial. This is an exciting and 'hands on' job which will also involve supporting with some office administration / management activities.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will be offered an IMMEDIATE START. Once your training is completed, you will be offered the opportunity to work on a remote basis.

  • Monday to Friday, 9-5 (1 hour for lunch)
  • £35000 - £40000
  • Offices based in Stowmarket (office based 2-3 days a week while learning this new role with the option to work remotely 90-95% after the training period)
  • 10-12 weeks temporary with longer term and permanent prospects
