Job Specification

Position: Blow Film Extrusion Operative

Location: Liverpool

Hours: 4 on 4 off 12hrs - 2 days/ 2 nights - 8/8

Salary: £12.00 - £15.54 DOE P/H + Attendance Bonus

Contract: Permanent

Duties:

  • Responsibility for producing polythene film products to the required customer specification on extrusion production line(s).
  • Machine Operation, maximisation of production output.
  • Completion of order and blend changes.
  • Carry out and accurately record quality control checks, taking remedial action where required.
  • Working on work order instructions and job specification sheets, and accurately completing all production-related controlled documents, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Ensure raw material supplies and material feed are maintained.
  • Removal and segregation of scrap products following the correct procedure for removal of excess raw materials.
  • Ensure product packaging is completed to specification and sufficient to achieve customer expectations.
  • Completion and compliance with all task SOPs and instructions relevant to the operational area.
  • Ensure a thorough accurate handover to the next shift is completed.
  • Maintenance of housekeeping, hygiene, and environmental standards.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience (Desirable)

  • Previous extrusion/ blown film extrusion experience (or similar).
  • Shift work
  • Health, safety, hygiene, and environmental awareness training.
  • RITIB FLT License.
