Job title: Binding Authority Technician - 6 Months Maternity Cover

Salary: £72,000

Location: London

Purpose of role:

You will be working in a busy team with a can-do attitude. As a personable and good team player your consistency in time management will be vital when dealing with periods of heavy workloads.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ideally, you will possess over 4 years of experience, specifically in North American Property Binding Authorities within a Lloyd's Broker setting.
  • Tasks include generating insurance documentation such as BAA slips and endorsements.
  • Proficiency in DCOM, ATLAS Crystal, and other relevant software is necessary.
  • Responsibilities also involve preparing and typing letters, emails, and other correspondence.
  • You should be adept at maintaining online filing and archiving systems, as well as entering data into the Global system.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Tasks also include arranging extensions to terms of trade and calculating profit commissions and E2Is.
  • Handling queries from brokers, underwriters, claims department, accounts, and clients, and escalating issues as needed for timely resolution is part of the role.
  • Providing regular feedback to the Technical Team Leader regarding ongoing work and adhering to group rules and procedures, including maintaining accurate records, is essential.

Experience:

  • Experienced Technician in the US property markets but other classes will be considered.
  • Experience of the Global system would be a distinct advantage however full training will be given to the successful candidate.
