I am delighted to be partnering with a market leading organisation based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds seeking to recruit a Project Billing Analyst in a key role responsible for the billing of projects, working closely with Sales Ledger to ensure all billing is raised in a timely fashion in accordance with terms and responding to customer queries where required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Generate billing templates as and when projects have terms agreed to include stage, plot, milestone payments and analyse by utility.
  • Record all special payment terms on the register once requests have been sent to Sales Ledger for processing.
  • Update the register and project files with invoicing data thus ensuring all invoicing has been raised.
  • Update the log of accepted quotes on a weekly basis.
  • Monitor all accepted quotes to ensure that they have been invoiced.
  • Maintain appropriate records of invoices received and sent by project and date.
  • Reporting on projects to compare actual spend and income against budget and commenting on significant differences.
  • Monitoring larger projects, by forecasting future spend/income and advising management where necessary.
  • Work closely with the business to establish and maintain effective processes & controls.

The successful candidate will be part qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with practical financial analysis and accounting experience and strong IT skills. In addition, you must possess excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills and the ability to communicate to staff at all levels.
