Position Overview:
They are seeking a talented Bid Writer to join the team and play a pivotal role in securing exciting new projects. As a Bid Writer, you will be responsible for producing compelling, high-quality bid documents that effectively communicate the strengths, capabilities, and value proposition to potential clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the contractors continued success and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop bid strategies.
  • Conduct thorough research to gather relevant information, including project specifications, client needs, and competitor analysis.
  • Write and edit persuasive bid content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with company messaging and branding.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to gather technical input and integrate it into bid responses.
  • Manage the bid production process, including organising and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Review and refine bid documents to ensure compliance with tender requirements and submission guidelines.
  • Support post-bid activities, such as debriefs and feedback analysis, to continuously improve bid performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bid writing within the construction or civil engineering industry.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling content.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with tender processes, including public sector procurement frameworks, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software.
  • A proactive and results-driven attitude, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
