A great opportunity has become available for a reliable and skilled Bid & Marketing Manager to join a dynamic regional company recognised for developing and training its staff to succeed in their roles. Based in Portsmouth, you will join them on a full-time, permanentbasis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum + car allowance and excellent benefits.

About the Role:

A pivotal role to help the business meet their sales targets and an excellent opportunity for a bid professional looking to step up into a management role with some line management responsibilities. The Bid & Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that bid submissions are completed correctly and in a timely manner. You will be responsible for overseeing the writing and production of all quality submissions and completion of all tender documentation to a high standard.

Key responsibilities as the Bid & Marketing Manager will include:

Team Supervision

  • Line Management of Graduate Bid Writer - providing day to day distribution of tasks, oversight of their work and monitoring of their workload, mentoring and line management

Marketing

  • Oversee external marketing including Company Website, LinkedIn and Newletters
  • Oversee Internal Marketing including management of the Internal Company Communications Apps
  • Oversee Company Social Value and Sustainability Plan

Bid Management

  • Liaise with Operational Directors and manage Maintenance and Constructions bids end to end
  • To produce and manage a bid plan in line with internal Management System, set up key review meetings/milestones and identify the resources needed to deliver the bid. Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure key clarifications are raised and distributed
  • Ensure Contracts for winning bids are received, signed returned and securely stored within the business

Bid Writing

  • To write and develop content for tender responses which are bespoke to and exceed the client's expectations. Ensuring all submission documents are free from errors, professionally represent the business, and the presentation and layout is correct and to a high standard

What the company are looking for in their Bid & Marketing Manager:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Bid Writer and/or Manager
  • Strong working knowledge/experience of bidding within the UK Construction sector as the role will primarily be focused on bids within this market
  • Comfortable using a variety of computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign
  • Professional accreditations such as APMP or Prince2 would be advantageous but are not essential
