Morgan Hunt is proud to be partnering with one of the UK's Largest Health Charity based in Central London, seeking a Bid and Tender manager to lead the organisations national Bid and Tender Team, driving procurement strategies, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and identifying efficiency's to support their mission!

The Bid Manager reports to the Head of Service Income and Improvement and is a vital member of the Service Income and Improvement management team. This role is integral to the Operations Commercial Improvement and Outreach Team.

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract 24 Months
Salary: £48,209 - £53,565
Hours Per Week: 35
Working Arrangement: Fully remote working
Home Working Allowance: £312 Per Annum

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a national Bid and Tender Team to secure income from public procurement across all three Nations.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to support effective delivery of the Bid and Tender Team's work.
  • Stay abreast of developments in public procurement and identify income opportunities.
  • Ensure effective use of the organisation's Business Development Control System (BDCS) and adherence to processes.
  • Lead the development of standard processes for tender opportunities, ensuring quality, risk management, and timeliness.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations to the Operational Leadership Team.
  • Oversee the production and submission of tenders, ensuring compliance with standards and processes.
  • Lead the Bid and Tender Team to maintain standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership on contract management and decision-making regarding contracted services.
  • Support the Training and Consultancy Team in identifying and pursuing bid and tender opportunities.
  • Ensure all bid proposals meet national and organisational standards.
  • Adhere to all the organisation's service standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Work collaboratively to foster a culture of inclusion and collaboration.

Essential Criteria

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant business experience.
  • Professional qualification in Bid and Tender writing or substantial relevant business experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the charity sector for a number of years.
  • Extensive experience in competitive tendering for statutory services.
  • Experience in managing or supporting others in successful bid and tender writing.
  • Understanding and experience in contract life cycle management.
  • Experience of providing line management and performance management.
