Long - Term teachers are working with a fantastic special school In Yeovil, where students are unable to access mainstream school. This amazing school supports students with Social, Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH) needs and to support the reduction of exclusions across South Somerset.

Your role of LSA will involve offering classroom support to students and teachers. This will be a full time position, term time only. No planning or marking will be involved, however it is vital that feedback is delivered to tutors and senior members of staff, ensuring the student is being encouraged to succeed. Mathematics, literacy and reading will be some of the core subjects you will be tutoring.

You must have a strong understanding of specialeducation, in particular SEMH, experience is essential. At times you may be expected to lead 1:1 or small group interventions, so it is vital you are confident to manage behaviours independently.

This is an amazing opportunity to develop your experience if you have a passion for specialeducation. The headteacher is looking for a mature and friendly individual that can bring a positiveattitude to the classroom. Your contribution towards devising activities will be great, so bring a creative engaging attitude and get involved!

If you demonstrate to be an excellent addition to the team there will be an opportunity to progress to a permanent placement at the school.
