Behaviour Support Worker
  • Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
  • Contract Type: Term Time Only
  • Rate: £85 - £110 per day

Reed Education is seeking Behaviour Support Workers to join our dedicated team, providing support in secondary schools across Leeds and the surrounding area. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about fostering personal growth, academic achievement, and social development in students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to students with challenging behaviour, implementing personalised strategies to manage their specific needs.
  • Work in collaboration with the school’s multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective behaviour management plans.
  • Build strong rapport with students, fostering trust and promoting positive relationships to enhance their social and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive support network for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavioural incidents, interventions, and contribute to regular reviews and assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with young people and/or adults with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management principles and positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Prevent and Safeguarding training (provided by Reed).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the dynamic nature of the role.
  • Candidates must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS and have it on the update system upon registration.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
