If so, GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a primary school in Bournemouth, and you could be the ideal candidate!

About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive learning environment for students.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural, emotional or social challenges.
  • Collaborating with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored and bespoke strategies to promote engagement
  • Supporting the overall well-being of students and contributing to a positive school ethos.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous but not essential

  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
