Job Title: Behaviour Mentor

Location: Harlow, Essex

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Are you passionate about supporting students to overcome behavioural challenges and reach their full potential? Do you have experience in managing and guiding young people towards positive outcomes? If so, Remedy Education have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Behaviour Mentor in Harlow.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with students who require additional support in managing their behaviour, providing guidance and interventions to promote positive choices and attitudes.
- Develop and implement individualised behaviour plans for students, setting clear targets and strategies for improvement.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to help students develop self-awareness, self-regulation, and social skills.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor and track students' behaviour and progress, implementing adjustments to support their ongoing development.
- Liaise with parents/carers to share information, discuss progress, and provide support strategies for home and school.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy, patience, and consistency in your approach to behaviour management.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviour, ideally within an educational or youth support setting.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies, with the ability to apply them effectively in a school environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships.
- Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure when dealing with challenging situations.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to supporting students' behavioural and emotional needs.
- Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management, mentoring, counselling, or education (desirable but not essential).
