Our client, a Global City Law firm has a vacancy for an experienced Business Development Assistant. They are seeking a self-motivated person who is capable of working with and supporting our Business Development Managers for with the management of existing client relationships and the development of new business opportunities across the global Transport sector.

Most excitingly, this role will be instrumental in supporting their ground-breaking thought leadership projects and associated marketing campaigns in the sector.

Key activities/responsibilities

  • Working proactively with Global Business Development and Communications team members and other key stakeholders across the firm’s sectors and services to:
  • Research and draft client and prospect information packs.
  • Provide support in researching, drafting and coordinating proposals and credential statements through our PitchPerfect system in Word and Powerpoint.
  • Manage the deployment of client communication alerts, articles and briefings as well as drafting related LinkedIn posts.
  • Ensure that marketing materials, including web content and other collateral, are kept up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Support in raising the profile of the partners/practice via various communication channels including social media and the website.
  • Capture and review deal and pitch content ensuring information is available and up to date on all global databases.
  • Assist with the coordination of directory, league table and award submissions.
  • Assist with the coordination of events (including webinars) and conference attendance.
  • Understand the importance of budgets and assist in the developments of Request for Budget and Return on Investment forms.
  • Champion the use of our CRM system (InterAction) including ensuring all relevant information is in the system.
  • Support in firmwide projects as appropriate.
  • Skills and experience - essential
  • Understanding and demonstration of firm’s core values of respect, sharing, communication and integrity.
  • Strong written communication and editing skills and the ability to write accurate, concise and persuasive text.
  • Organisation, with an ability to prioritise and a tenacity to see projects and tasks through to completion.
  • A positive role model who meets new challenges with a constructive and open mind.
  • Enthusiasm for new opportunities and ideas.
  • A team player who is confident sharing information across a broader team.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully, with the confidence to ask questions when uncertain.
