Bar Manager

Time Appointments have been retained and instructed exclusively to recruit talent for one of Ipswich's most prestigious and highly regarded drinking and events establishments.

Arcade Street Tavern are keen to appoint an experienced and proven hospitality professional looking to learn all aspects of the trade with a genuine opportunity to move to a senior management position. As a business the client will invest and support your professional development with all required licences.

The job will be a 45-hour week with 2 clear days off.

The ideal applicant will have proven experience and ideally be a people person, with a passion for hospitality and the mindset that delivers an experience allowing the business to thrive and lead the market with an innovative approach whilst being capable of using initiative.

They are seeking a candidate that will possess previous supervisory experience, great attention to detail and ideally cellar management including handling real ales (not essential as full training given - Their beer set up is quite unique). This will be accompanied by a clear grasp of stock control and the ability to do line checks. Another requisite will be team management, inspirational leadership and taking on the responsibility to enhance profitability at all times.

Another fundamental part of what the job holder will be heavily engaged with is event management and customer interaction from corporate and niche private bookings/experiences.

The Arcade Street Tavern is a busy town centre Pub/Bar in Ipswich with a fantastic reputation built up over many years within Ipswich. They offer a welcoming atmosphere run by a professional hard-working team of staff.

The bar is an owner managed and run premises - They are looking for some additional full-time support to help run the site, full training will be given to the right candidate who wants to learn and progress within the hospitality industry.

They serve an unrivalled selection of quality drinks including the finest craft beer on the scene plus real ales. They have a large selection of the very best Gins and top end spirits with an ever improving and changing drinks menu. They are not (currently) a food outlet although frequent corporate hospitality with food is familiar so some knowledge of food service is a bonus. They have two rooms for hire and regularly host private parties & corporate events.
