Banking Paralegal - Loan Documentation
Up to £85,000 plus bonus and benefits
We are seeking a senior paralegal with 5+ years of real estate finance experience gained in a leading Banking and Finance team at a London based international law firm. This is a fantastic opportunity to move into a more corporate role!
A Central London-based international Banking Group is seeking to strengthen their Loan Services team with the addition of a Loan Documentation Specialist. You will be responsible for reviewing loan documentation within the specified timeframe as required to meet business needs (adopting the LMA format); as well as supporting the manager with the day-to-day management of the team. This role will suit a candidate from a legal background due to the in-depth legal documentation knowledge that is required.
Duties for the Loan Documentation Paralegal to include:
- Interprets loan documentation requirements from an approved credit proposal
- Reviews property and other relevant due diligence reports
- Reviews and comments on all transaction documents prepared by external legal counsel utilising knowledge of the LMA documents and guidelines and the Bank’s procedures and document standards, and ensures transaction documents accurately reflect the approved terms and conditions
- Works with the Business Development Department and external legal counsel to resolve documentation and security issues
- Manages and organises the daily workload ensuring activities are performed within defined deadlines
The successful Loan Documentation Manager Paralegal will have:
- Sound experience of loan documentation gained within a law firm or major banking environment (adopting the LMA format)
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of LMA format highly desirable.
