Divisional Manager BAND: 8d

DIVISION: Women and Children’s Services

Here are the primary duties and responsibilities:

1. Corporate Responsibilities
1.1. Provide robust and credible leadership and drive the implementation of transformational change, influencing relevant staff within the Division to change and develop clinical practice.
1.2. Develop collaboration among clinicians and other professionals to strengthen commitment and ownership of the Trust's corporate aims.
1.3. Drive the strategic and operational development of the Trust and the Division to ensure the Trust meets all objectives effectively.
1.4. Ensure the Division's Strategic Direction aligns with the Trust's needs and aims and those of the local community.
1.5. Ensure that the Division works actively and collaboratively with colleagues within the Trust, local commissioning groups, and external partners.
1.6. Ensure service policy developments align with national directives and local frameworks.
1.7. Lead and coordinate the development of integrated strategic and operational service, financial, capacity, and workforce plans for the Division.
1.8. Lead the development of the Division to achieve robust lines of authority, delegation, and accountability. The Divisional Manager is the overall lead for establishing this Division, and with the Head, provides the leadership, drive and direction to ensure that the Division sets and achieves its ambitious goals. They will agree on the Strategic Direction and objectives of the Division to provide its focus on and delivery of key performance targets and objectives. They will lead staff to embed continuous service improvement across the Division to deliver the best quality patient care and experience with available resources. The post holder will also lead an identified major project aligned with strategic objectives. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Corporate Responsibilities 1.1. Ensure the alignment of the Strategic Direction and the resulting activities of the Division with the needs and aims of the Trust and the local community. 1.5. Ensure that the Division works actively and collaboratively with colleagues within the Trust, in local commissioning groups and external partners. 1.6. Ensure that service policy developments align with national directives and local frameworks. 1.7. Lead and coordinate the development of integrated strategic and operational service financial, capacity and workforce plans for the Division. 1.8.Lead the development of the Division to achieve robust lines of authority, delegation and accountability.
