Locum Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist Central London

We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Occupational Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Central London. They are seeking a qualified OT with previous NHS Paediatric experience. The role is to start ASAP.
Job Description
Skills/Experience required:
- Candidate who has relevant paediatric experience (4-5 years)
- Acute/Neuro rehab/inpatient hospital experience
- Preferably not a therapist who only has school placement experience as their caseload is more complex and they do not have the capacity to supervise and train a new locum

Day to day requirements for outpatient therapist:
- Seeing regular outpatients for assessment and treatment, 0 - 15 years of age, however majority of the caseload is under 10 years old
- Writing assessment reports and discharge reports in a timely fashion
- Formulating home exercise programs
- Liaison with MDT including medical
- Caseload varies with diagnoses - neuro, autism, developmental delay, intellectual delay, school age therapy; clinical support will be provided for treatment planning and clinical reasoning
- May be asked to support the team with inpatients when no outpatients are booked, this is predominantly neuro rehab and long term stay neuro. Including positioning, equipment provision, splinting, caregiver education, and MDT working
- Outpatients are often done jointly with speech therapy and physiotherapy for support and MDT working

Position Requirements
•HCPC Registered
•Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
•Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a Occupational Therapy setting
