Bibby Financial Services have an exciting opportunity available for a committed Bad Debt Protection Team Leader to join our team. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work in any of our UK offices.You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 - £31,000 per annum, plus benefits.

As our Bad Debt Protection Team Leader, you will manage a team of Bad Debt Protection Administrators to support delivery of the Bad Debt Protection (BDP) UK Strategy, which makes a significant contribution to BFS profitability.

You will bring excellent leadership to the team in order to achieve high engagement and performance. This will be achieved by managing performance and supporting team members to achieve their KPI’s. You will work closely with the Debtor Risk Analysts to ensure that the required level of support is provided to them by the BDP Administrators to support the business in achieving its targets.

Your responsibilities as our Bad Debt Protection Team Leader will include:

  • Undertake regular performance reviews with all team members. Ensure all have appropriate development plans in place to support in achieving their personal objectives wherever possible.
  • Support in shaping, developing, and testing the operating platform for the product, ensuring that potential risks to BFS are identified and addressed prior to any acceptance of change.
  • Ensure your team is a “centre for excellence” and have a high level of expertise on our product so that they clearly understand all benefits and potential risks of the product and support Relationship and New Business teams appropriately.
  • Regularly sample the work of the UK Bad Debt Protection Team and address any gaps identified to ensure risk to BFS is minimised.
  • Closely monitor activity levels and plan future requirements to ensure there is always adequate resource in the team to support the business.
  • Support in promoting the Bad Debt Protection product across the business and drive best practice, working with Learning & Development to ensure appropriate learning material is available for all users.

What we are looking for in our ideal Bad Debt Protection Team Leader:

Experience

  • People Management
  • Invoice Finance or Trade Credit Insurance experience
  • Customer Service

Skills

  • Strong IT skills (in particular Excel);
  • Attention to detail
  • Planning and Organisation
