Quest Search and Selection are proud to partner an Entertainment Provider working in their Retail business. The business creates bespoke retail, general merchandise gifts, toys and memorabilia for their retail and leisure clients!

The role of Head of Product & Wholesale is to oversees a cross-functional team, aiming for substantial B2B client base growth aiming for designing and sourcing innovative products, efficient supply chain and delivering premium merchandising & design standards in stores.

Key Responsibilities of this B2B Head of Buying & Key Accounts (Toys & Gifting)

  • Lead the Retail Team which compromises of Sourcing, Merchandising, Operations and Account Management.

  • Take full accountability for the department's P&L management.

  • Collaborate with the Finance heads to set budgets and closely manage these in line with client deliverables.

  • Oversee department logistics operations, ensuring seamless movement of goods from concept to production, delivery to stores.

  • Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to maintain high service levels and optimize the supply chain.

  • Ensuring a constant presence at the forefront of retail innovation, including in-store fitouts, experiences, and products.

  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and attend trade shows to deliver, innovative, sustainable and commercial ranges of products

  • Drive team engagement and manage team performance effectively, setting and achieving departmental goals through action plans.

  • Regular collaboration with the Business Development team to acquire new clients.

  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with clients, serving as a point of contact for escalations when necessary.

Requirements for this B2B Head of Buying & Key Accounts (Toys & Gifting) -

  • That you have full P&L experience of a business area

  • 5 years + experience, end-to-end product development/ sourcing retail in wholesale or B2B sales account management

  • Ideally have B2B experience working with external clients/retailers

  • You will be operating as a Senior Manager or Head of level of a business area or team.

  • Experience in sourcing with the Far East and dealing with factories directly.

  • Flexible to global travel (trade shows, factories, clients etc) circa 6 times a year

  • Managing 3 direct reports (with Sales/Product and Merchandising) and have a wider team underneath to oversee.

  • Have led teams through their succession planning and development and is well versed to dealing with under performance and any disciplinary processes if needed.
