?? About the Role: ???

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you'll be joining our client's team at their Crewe campus on a temporary basis. Reporting to the Vehicle Cyber Security Manager, you will be responsible for product cyber security engineering activities. Your primary focus will be on cyber security requirements, legislation analysis, interpretation, and compliance with secure product development process.

? Your Responsibilities: ?

  • Assess and interpret cybersecurity legislations, tracking any changes and communicating them to relevant teams.
  • Develop and maintain security specifications for vehicle components and functions.
  • Analyse and update cybersecurity requirements based on applicable regulations.
  • Ensure traceability between regulations and requirements for auditing purposes.
  • Deliver cybersecurity work products aligned with Secure Development Process.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to template updates.

�? Your Skills and Experience: �?

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Technical product security competencies, ideally within the automotive sector.
  • Good knowledge of relevant cybersecurity legislative frameworks and connected services in various regions.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret cybersecurity and software update regulations and their impact on product requirements.
  • A strong understanding of security controls for automotive vehicles.
  • Experience in system requirements engineering.
  • Software/programming knowledge, such as C and C++.
  • Project management and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in German would be advantageous.
  • An engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Membership in a relevant professional institute is desirable.
