Responsibilities of an Autism Support Worker:

Collaborate with colleagues and therapists to create and implement personalised support plans for individuals with autism. Provide one-on-one support and guidance to individuals, tailoring activities to their specific needs and interests. Create a safe and supportive environment that encourages learning and growth. Assist in the development and implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans. Support individuals in developing social skills and building positive relationships with peers. Contribute to the overall well-being and happiness of individuals with autism.

Requirements of an Autism Support Worker:

Experience working with individuals with autism or relevant qualifications in autism support. Strong communication and empathy skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals and their families. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Passion for supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of individuals with autism. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
