Job Purpose

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients acting in a pivotal role beneath the audit manager.
  • Run audits from planning to completion, championing quality and compliance.
  • Preparation of accounts and tax computations within audit engagements.
  • Work closely with the audit lead during site visits.
  • Build strong rapport with clients, proactively handling queries and problem solving.
  • Delivering a strong understanding of risk management during audits, with a critical eye to ensure accuracy.
  • Keep up to date with audit regulations and emerging trends that could impact the audit function.
  • Manage your own workload, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met.

Job Requirements

  • ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years' experience within UK practice.
  • Working knowledge of tax regulations, IFRS, UK GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
  • Working knowledge of software, including CCH, Caseware Audit, Sage Line 50, QuickBooks, and Xero.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • Strong time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure.
  • A team player who is eager to support the wider team.
