A Newcastle based accounting practice are seeking to appoint an Audit Senior with the responsibility of leading on audits and preparing year end statutory accounts on behalf of clients.

Working with small owner managed business through to large International groups this is an audit role that does not require much travel and no overnight stays.

Your key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Producing a detailed audit plan ready for discussion with your Manager.
  • Audit completion in accordance with the Firm’s audit procedures, with assistance from more senior members of staff.
  • Managing to day to day progress of audit jobs to ensure that budgets are where they need to be and any issues dealt with swiftly.
  • Supporting juniors on audit assignment
  • Sign off audit sections ready for Manager review.
  • Preparation of accounts for clients.

We are looking for a qualified Auditor / Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with previous audit experience (minimum 3 years) leading on site within the corporate sector. You will be organised and a competent planner able to successfully deliver a comprehensive audit adhering to FRS102 in particular. We are seeking an organised and confident individual who can manage client relationships and represent the firm.
