We are looking for a talented Audit Senior in Crewe to lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to a loyal client portfolio at an excellent firm. The successful candidate will have a strong background in audit, a keen eye for detail, and outstanding interpersonal skills.

The role will involve conducting and leading on audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. The successful Audit Senior in Crewe will also supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive and productive team environment. Of course it goes without saying that applicants must also be able to showcase the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing timely and effective communication throughout the audit process.

Job Purpose

• Support the delivery of audits from planning to completion, including field work.
• Work closely with the Audit Manager to ensure deadlines and budgets are being met.
• Preparation of financial statements.
• Support junior staff with learning and development.
• Build good rapport with clients.
• Assist with target setting and department budgeting.
• Identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
• Champion your own professional development, scoping training opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

• ACA or ACCA?qualified or studying with previous audit experience within practice.
• Adept at supporting audits from planning to completion.
• Highly organised and able to manage own workload.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
• A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
• Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
• Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
• An eagerness to progress with the firm, undertaking continuous professional development.
