Blair West is supporting a high growth international manufacturing business with the appointment of an Audit Manager.

This is a newly created, standalone post to lead the Internal Audit strategy for the European division based in Washington. The successful candidate will bring an in-depth knowledge of audit processes with a passion for improving internal controls.

The opportunity:
  • Review and Evaluate SoX of the Company: Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of the company's Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SoX) compliance.
  • Conduct Audit Projects: Execute audit projects in alignment with the annual audit plan, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Follow Up on Audit Issues: Track and manage the resolution of identified audit issues, ensuring timely closure.
  • Compliance with Audit Committee Instructions: Adhere to any instructions provided by the Audit Committee, demonstrating responsiveness and compliance.
  • Develop business wide relationships: Seek to understand other areas of the business and liaise with those at the business and those in other sites across the globe.
You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
  • ACA/ACCA Qualification or similar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of auditing (or similar) experience. This could be in external or internal audit.
  • Working knowledge or an understanding of SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Professional knowledge in internal controls across various processes in manufacturing companies, such as Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, and Sales.
  • Familiarity with SoX and its testing processes.
  • A desire to forge a career in an Internal Audit role.
  • An understanding on communicating findings in a coherent manner to both those with and without a finance background or understanding.
  • Any exposure to a Group function would be advantageous.
