I am currently supporting a regional Kent based firm of chartered accountants who are looking to appoint an Audit Manager/Partner Designate. Ideally you will be a qualified ACA accountant with experience of working in a busy practice environment within audit. This role offers progression, and they are keen to attract someone who is looking to further their career and gain RI status.

Your role will be responsible for managing and completion of audits for small, medium, and large companies and charities. This will lead to a portfolio of independent examinations for charities, solicitors, accounts and tax work for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and personal tax return clients. You will take responsibility for business development, managing the team and you need to be flexible, approachable, determined, and want to directly contribute to the firms ongoing success.

The firm are looking at succession planning so ideally, they are looking for someone with the desire to progress to Partner, where you would assist existing partners, build relationships with existing and new clients, and manage staff. The role will also involve initially integrating within existing working practices and gradually help to shape the future of the firm.

You will be responsible for:
-Audit planning & completion within the agreed budget for the assignment, managing the audit assignment throughout the process
-Deal with all client queries and relationships, managing work in progress and billings
-Delegate and oversee workloads to the team, providing training and development where needed on an ongoing basis
-Preparing statutory financial statements for clients
-Keep up to date with best
-Work within budget and to agreed deadlines
-Business development with existing and new clients, Identifying business opportunities
-Strong systems experience, Microsoft Office, IRIS and MyWorkpapers would be beneficial but not essential

The firm has several offices in the region so you must be happy to commute and work from various local sites. The firm and offering development opportunity, hybrid working and an opportunity to gain Partnership within the next 2-4 years
