We're looking for an Experienced Senior Manager to join our leadership team within Audit Learning & Development. This individual will have responsibility for leading the Learning Development and Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance subteams.

  • Learning Development (LD) - This team comprises specialist learning designers, responsible for designing and curating or creating the Audit programme content which is available for the business. The aim of the team is to develop the most impactful, innovative solutions to meet learner needs and deliver clear business outcomes. The Learning Development team has both technical and non-technical specialists who support the authoring of content and these authors work alongside the Innovation and Technology Hub to leverage the latest technological innovations and leading market design thinking into our solutions, where these enhance learning effectiveness. The Innovation and Technology Hub also supports the wider function by ensuring that it makes use of the latest tools and technology to support its day-to-day operations.

  • Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance (MRC) - Team responsible for all internal and external reporting in respect to L&D. They oversee the coordination of programme and tutor evaluations, manage the assessments process for all individuals and provide appropriate measurement and reporting of performance. They work with the other L&D teams as appropriate to evaluate programmes and analysis L&D trends. They manage all L&D data requests into the function (internal and external).

You will:

  • Oversee the coordination of most impactful, innovative solutions which meet learner needs and deliver clear business outcomes

  • Oversee the coordination of programme and facilitator evaluations, manage the assessments process for all relevant individuals and provide appropriate measurement and reporting of performance

  • Develop and maintain suite of L&D KPIs, overseeing the reporting on these as appropriate to Audit L&D leadership and the wider firm / governance to help drive effective delivery against the L&D strategy

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of relevant business relationships that are integral to programmatic design such as content SMEs

  • Oversee day-to-day monitoring and reporting on all Audit L&D programmes

  • Provide regular updates on the status of compliance with regulatory requirements and the overall Audit L&D plan

  • Lead on response to all internal and external compliance requests supported by the wider MRC team (with appropriate review and sign off from the Leadership Team)

  • Support the delivery of programmes with onsite project management and/or facilitation support as appropriate (as agreed as part of the wider curriculum plan approved by the Partner Head of Audit Stream Learning & Development).

  • Be responsible for the design, curation or creating of all Audit content, supported by the wider Learning Development team

  • Oversee the effective management of target audiences for learning, utilising potential profiling tools, as well as overseeing the completion reporting for L&D matters

  • Oversee the validations process within the profiling tool, chasing of outstanding required learning and monitoring of status of completions to help manage risks around the target audience

  • Review Audit L&D dashboards to ensure these are maintained appropriately and support reporting on progress, as well as make recommendations for enhancements that can be made in the reporting element

  • Oversee the maintenance of the ISQM 1 documentation and coordinate all systems, processes and controls within the framework

  • Support the development of L&D KPIs to help demonstrate the value generated by Audit L&D and to evidence progress against plans

  • Provide coaching and support to the wider team in the fulfilment of their duties

  • Work as part of the Leadership Team, working closely with other members of the Leadership Team to achieve our Audit L&D objectives.

  • Collaborate effectively with the wider BP and LI teams to understand training needs for specific learning, and translate those needs into learning outcomes and content, as well as develop content that can be successfully and commercially implemented

  • Coordinate all L&D data requests into the function (internal and external)

  • Support the Director - Audit Learning & Development Strategic Operations with regulatory compliance matters alongside the Manager - Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance

  • Bring the latest thinking and innovation to the business to support the development of effective, high-quality learning solutions

  • Bring the latest thinking and innovation to the monitoring and reporting processes within L&D, allowing the team to share insights with the Audit Stream and wider L&D function

  • Advocate change where needed, leading by example and seeking support as appropriate

Required skills and experience

  • Experienced Senior Manager (or equivalent) with a background in programme development, both technical and non-technical in course content.

  • Experience of regulatory reporting requirements is preferred

  • Experience of authoring and reviewing programme content

  • Strong data-analytics and problem-solving skills

  • Understanding of the latest design thinking, innovation, tools and technology to support programme development, data analytics / evidence-based analysis

  • Ability to take training needs and translate these into learning objectives and key learning outcomes and then coordinate an appropriate response to these

  • Ability to think outside the box and push the approach to reporting L&D within the Stream, creating sensible measures to illustrate our progress

  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to coach, develop and inspire people to reach their potential

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Experienced of using/interpreting Power BI data or similar would be beneficial

  • Understanding of business strategy and goals and a focus on delivering effectively against these
