An opportunity has arisen in a Top 10 Accountancy firm for an Assistant Manager / Manager position in York. You will be responsible for your own portfolio of audit clients and assisting the directors with important matters as part of progression and development.

Client Details

This Accountancy firm is well established and a leader in it's field and currently looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to join their team. The practice has a wealth of different clients where you can get involved in interesting accounting procedures and contribute as a valued member of the team. There have recently been a number of new clients in the IFRS space and hence, the partners are looking for an established individual to support this portfolio.

Description

As an Assistant Manager, you will be required to:

Lead and manage audits from planning through to completion.

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients

Work and liaise with other members within the team

Preparation and presentation of client management information

Addressing and discussing with clients any technical accounting issues identified during the course of the audit

Profile

Ideally qualified ACCA/ACA

Experience of leading an audit from planning through to completion

Strong IT skills inclusive of accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero etc.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal to facilitate extensive client relationship development

Ambitious and persistent, self-motivated and able to work to targets
