This firm is committed to offering a committed and motivated Semi Senior, with foundation level UK practice experience, to develop skills in all areas of audit and general accounting and to continue or begin their studies and professional pathway to onward success.

You’ll be keen to learn, eager to hit the ground running and motivated to support the Managers and Partners in identifying and pursuing commercial opportunities.

Job Purpose

• Learning the oversight of audits from planning through to completion.
• Accounts preparation clients.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior staff members.
• Involvement in the management of a portfolio of clients, from resource planning to WIP and budget management.
• Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support.
• Confidently present work to Seniors Managers, completing files to a high standard.
• Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
• Liaise with HMRC.
• Handle compliance queries from clients.
• Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
• Mentor and support new trainees, supporting with their learning and development.
• Set an example for the team.

The Successful Applicant

• ACCA or ACA studying, qualified or eager to start.
• Experience being involved in the provision of audits is desirable but not essential.
• Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress.
• Technically efficient in both audit and accounting.
• A drive to deliver an excellent level of service.
• Effective communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
• An appetite to progress and take on a supervisory role within the firm.
