We're currently looking for an Audit & Accounts Senior to join an exciting, employee-focused firm in Crewe.

The right candidate will act as a pillar of support for a junior team, juggle their own workflow, and stay abreast of deadlines. You'll be used to working under pressure and you'll have an agile and flexible approach to leadership.

Job Purpose

  • Work hand-in-hand with senior auditors to support engagements from planning to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Preparation of statutory accounts, as well as reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff
  • Tax computations
  • Lead liaisons with HMRC on behalf of clients
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities
  • Support junior team members by knowledge sharing to accelerate their progression

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, studying or a finalist with previous experience within practice
  • Experience supporting audits from planning to completion
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Proficient in the preparation of statutory accounts
  • A proactive team player who also feels confident working autonomously
  • Self-motivated with a can-do, hands-on attitude towards workload
  • Good awareness of current affairs and solid commercial acumen
