A well-established, modern accountancy practice is recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Senior to join the team at the firm’s office in central London. This is a top 50 firm that has enjoyed continued growth and has promoted heavily, elevating seniors into management positions with those in management positions potentially moving rapidly to partner. The firm has an excellent benefits package and offers flexibility in working hours.

This opportunity would suit an ACA qualified or finalist, looking for you next, all important move. Your background could be recently qualified with the big 4 seeking a better work/life balance or conversely, you could be at a smaller firm with limited progression potential.

As Audit & Accounts Senior you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, execution and completion of all areas of the audit for manager and partner review, including the preparation of draft reports and financial statements
  • Audit of accounts in accordance with ISAs, including attendance at client premises
  • Preparation of statutory accounts - liaise with clients to ensure accounts comply with accounting standards
  • Support trainees - deliver training in clear and concise manner, identify and solve knowledge gaps
  • Keep up to date with legislative changes
  • Assist in the supervision and development of more junior team members

  • ACA qualified or finalist
  • Have significant audit and accounts experience gained within practice
  • Up to date knowledge and experience of audit & accounting standards
  • Proven ability of helping to deliver cost-effective, efficient audits
  • Work well under time pressure and is able to meet deadlines
  • Be an ambitious team player
  • Have the desire to nurture and mentor less experienced team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good, all-round knowledge of Microsoft Office, audit software and accounting packages
  • Professional and approachable manner with highly effective communication skills
  • Be organised with an understanding of the importance of delivering excellent client service
